Logo and website design for start-up wakeboard company Velocity. While brainstorming for the project, I had noticed that many of the competitors websites had a similar look and feel to the website design. So In order to stand out from the competition, I created a design based off of shapes you encounter in the water while wake boarding.
I wanted to convey the aesthetic of wakeboarding without direct references; for example, the curved background image mimicking the pattern as a wakeboarder carves through the water, along with the homepage creating a ripple effect of rings highlighting the opening logo.
